Learning to eat healthy and exercise in Chicago
I had some leftover beets from my latest stint “juicing”. Juicing is fun and pretty tasty but I think its sort of a cop out to good health. When your juicing your losing all/ most of the fiber from fruits and veggies and its packed with sugar. Juicing is great for adjusting to the taste of veggies (hello carrot juice) so the smoothie is kind of a step up from that… taste & texture! This smoothie is a bit spicy but its a great kick in the pants to get your day going; I make it for a mid-morning snack!
